How Often To Get Covid Booster

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), if you’re a healthy adult, you should get the updated booster made by Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna at least two months after your second primary vaccine shot or after you received a previous booster.

People aged 65 years and older may get a 2nd updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 booster dose.

Adults 50 and older vaccinated with either Pfizer or Moderna should get their first booster at least five months after completing the primary series. They should get their second booster at least four months after the first.

People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get additional updated Pfizer.

If you recently had a positive COVID-19 test, you may think about waiting three months after your symptoms started to get the booster.
