There are several places in the world where you can travel without a passport or visa. For example, you can travel to the following countries without a passport if you are an American citizen :
- Puerto Rico
- US Virgin Islands
- Northern Mariana Islands
- American Samoa
- Guam
- Canada (with some exceptions)
- Alaska (if you are traveling within the state)
However, even if you travel nationally, you will always need photo ID, such as a driver’s license or National ID card to board a flight.
