Ken Paxton is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the Attorney General of Texas since January 2015. He was re-elected to a third term in 2022. As the state’s top law enforcement officer, Attorney General Paxton leads more than 4,000 employees in 38 divisions and 117 offices around Texas.
He was suspended in May 2023 after being impeached by Texas House of Representatives; he is awaiting trial in the Texas Senate .
