Tina Turner was an American-born singer who found success in the rhythm-and-blues, soul, and rock genres in a career that spanned five decades. She was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee and died on May 24, 2023, in K├╝snacht, Switzerland. She was known as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll" and rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo performer.
