HBO Max has been rebranded as Max. The reason behind this change is to signal a broader programming mix. HBO Max was positioned as the successor to HBO, but from the beginning included more than just what was on HBO proper. With the rebranding, Warner Bros. Discovery is signaling that Max is more than just HBO plus some extra content. It's a platform that includes all of the content from HBO Max and Discovery Plus.
Existing HBO Max subscribers’ profiles, settings, watch history, “Continue Watching,” and “My List” items will also migrate to Max so they can pick up streaming where they left off. If you get HBO with your cable or satellite TV package, you may have access to Max at no extra cost.
